Funny thing about this book, a week before I found it was on NetGalley, my friend suggested I read the series. She insistedI would like it. I will be truthful and say this one was having me judge a book by it's cover. the original cover was just too cheese for me, even though I liked the sound of the blurb. But then I saw it on NetGalley and decided fate had stepped in and I should give it a try. I'm so very glad I did!

Put aside all your thoughts on bull riding! Because despite not knowing one thing about the sport, I was totally absorbed in this book. It's a bit plot driven, but not as much as character driven.

The plot is simple: bull rider and champion extraordinaire, Rhett Easton, cares about one thing, riding. So when he's faced with a huge mess up, his agent sends him a babysitter to take care of his image. Of course sparks fly when he connects with Summer Hamilton .

I truly enjoyed the characters in this story. Summer is fierce, but has her soft side, and her insecurities while Rhett couldn't care less what people thing of him. Summer is faced with learning about this bull rider while trying to help scrub his image. Of course Rhett wants no part of it. But somehow the two connect. Is there attraction, sure, Summer had Rhett's posters glued to her walls as a teen. But there's also a deeper connection between them. And it really moves the story along.

I was surprised to love it as much as I did, considering I'm a city girl with no real knowledge of bull riding. However, I am a huge Yellowstone lover and this book slid right into my head in that way. Rhett even reminded me of Rip and Summer a bit of Beth. I think this is why I connected with it so well.

My only issue with the book, which cause me to not rate it the 5 stars it really deserved, is the use of the same phrase over and over again throughout: she/he/I rolled my lips. Using it once or twice, maybe even three times, ok, but it was how the characters were always described when "thinking" or not knowing what to say.

This book is fast paced, funny, fun, tense, and sexy, all rolled in one. I'm so happy I got to pick it up and experience it.
