Imagine a world where your destiny has already been decided...by your
future self.
It's Callie’s seventeenth birthday and, like
everyone else, she's eagerly awaiting her vision―a memory sent back in time to
sculpt each citizen into the person they're meant to be. A world-class swimmer.
A renowned scientist.
Or in Callie's case, a criminal.
In her vision, she sees herself murdering her
beloved -- and gifted -- younger sister. Before she can process
what it means, Callie is arrested, treated viciously, and placed in Limbo―a
prison for those destined to break the law. With the help of her childhood
crush, Logan, a boy she hasn’t spoken to in five years, she escapes this
hellish prison.
But on the run from her future, as well as the
government, Callie sets in motion a chain of events that she hopes will change
her fate. If not, she must figure out how to protect her sister from the
biggest threat of all—Callie, herself.

I loved writing Logan Russell, Callie's love interest in FORGET
TOMORROW. Sure, he's about two decades too young for me, and he's, you know,
imaginary. But I'll admit it -- he makes me swoon. Here are some reasons
why:
1. He's cute. REALLY cute. Blond hair, green eyes, dimples. A
chiseled swimmer's build. He might
have been inspired from someone from my real life...but I'll never tell who...
2. When they were kids, Logan finds out that Callie wilts when
she is shut away from the outside. Thus, he gives her a brightly colored leaf
every day, to remind her of the sun.
3. At great personal risk to himself and his future, he rescues Callie from Limbo, a hellish prison for those destined to break the law.
4. Logan cares very deeply about his family. He is haunted by an incident from his childhood, when his inaction put a loved one in jeopardy. Despite his appealing qualities, he's not perfect, and five years after the incident, he continues to feel a deep, pervasive guilt that shapes all of his actions -- and momentarily clouds his judgment.
5. He's the consummate outdoorsman. There's nothing he can't do -- build a fire, navigate a map, build a bed out of pine needles and moss.
6. He's a REALLY good swimmer. Everyone says he's a shoo-in
to be a Gold-Star swimmer, which is equivalent to the Olympics. Callie can't
swim, so he side-strokes across a river dragging her on his hip.
7. Logan is also a gentleman. He gives Callie the bigger piece
of fruit, the warmer jacket. When he carries Callie's through the woods, he
turns his body left and then right to shield her from the worst of the branches
and thorns.
8. Logan is a bit...partial when it comes to Callie. Some people
criticized Callie's guacamole as having too much lime, but Logan insists that's
it's perfect. He says he doesn't like it when food tastes too uniform, because
variety brings the flavor to life.
9. He can also be a bit of a romantic. Because they don't have
silverware, he feeds Callie the venison stew with his fingers. He also gathers
wood, builds a fire, and boils water -- all so Callie can have a hot
shower.
10. Last, but not least, Logan sees into the very heart of Callie. When she has doubts and fears the monster that she will become, he believes in her strength and her love for her sister. It is with Logan's belief that she is able to fight the future and Fate itself.
