Synopsis
Sometimes, blackmail is the only weapon a girl has…
Haley Patterson has had a crush on golden boy Bryce Colton for ages. But when she hears a rumor that he hooked up with her she gives him a choice: be her boyfriend for a month to show other guys that she’s dateable—despite her overprotective and very intimidating brothers—or deal with the angry, cage-fighting boyfriend of the girl he actually did hook up with.
Bryce didn’t know the other Haley even had a boyfriend. He was just trying to get his ex off his back. And now, not only is he being blackmailed, he's being blackmailed by an honor student. His new “girlfriend” has two three-legged dogs, her father mows grass at the country club, and she's…well, difficult. And different.
Can something so fake turn into something real?

Brooke's Review:
I want to thank Entangled Publishing for providing me with a copy of this book to read and give an honest review. Receiving this book for free has in no way altered my opinion or review.
Once again, Entangled has given me a book that is full of fun romance, swoon worthy moments, and great learning experiences for both characters. It's no surprise I enjoyed this just as much as all the other Entangled books I've read over the past few months!
Haley has spent her life in the shadow of her over the top twin brothers. No matter what she does, they chase aways boys who might want to date her. So when she's presented with an opportunity to pretend date one of the most swoon worthy boys in school, she jumps at the chance. Trying to thwart a rumor that has been started about her by said swoon worthy boy, she convinces Bryce he must pretend to be her boyfriend in order to save her reputation. It's only fair, after all.
Bryce sees no choice but the accept Haley's blackmail. After all, it's only a few weeks and then he can go back to being who he was: the guy who attracts all the girls but never gets himself into anything that requires commitment. He's seen what that can do and he doesn't want to be a part of it. Of course he finds himself more attracted to Haley than he thought he would be, which complicates things for sure. Bryce is king of making bad choices and needs to be knocked down a few pegs.
I love the banter between Bryce and Haley. Haley refuses to take anything from Bryce, she gives as good as he does when it comes to being a ball of fire. It was probably my favorite part of this book. And the writing style was easy to follow. Cannon truly captures how I remember thinking as a teen. The chemistry between the characters slowly builds until, BAM, they have to give in.
Despite their rocky start, Bryce and Haley become a good fit, complimenting each other and bringing out the best of both. I also loved the best friends angel in this book.
If you're looking for a cute romance with a bit of teen angst and fun characters, this is the book for you!
