If you have not read the first or second books in this series, STOP HERE! I cannot promise there won't be spoilers from them. Actually, I promise there will be, so you've been warned.
This book picks up where the first left off. And thank goodness for tha! Bbecause it was kind of a cliffhanger and I needed to know what happened after! Rimmel and Romeo are recovering from their injuries inflicted by Zack. But, as usual, going through it together makes them stronger.
I love Rimmel and Romeo's relationship. I think my favorite part of them in this book is watching Rimmel come into herself. She still has her nerdish qualities, after all she would not be Rim if she didn't. But, at the same time, she's becoming more bold, especially when it comes to Romeo. And she is standing up for herself so much more, making sure she gets what she needs and wants. And the way Romeo cherishes her, like she's the most expensive jewel in the world. It's swoon worthy for sure.
But Rimmel's life takes a turn for the worse when she discovers things about her mother and father she never knew. And those things bring torment into her life like a tornado unleashed. She battles with demons she never knew she had, all the while with Romeo by her side. It's so great to watch him be there for her, no matter what. His change was evident in book 2, but continues to impress me in this book with how much love, respect and loyalty he has towards Rimmel.
I can't really go into much of the story without giving things away, but just know that Rim and Romeo go on a ride that brings them closer together as the book proceeds.
And we get glimpses of our other favorites in this book as well: Braden, Ivy and Missy. It's great to watch them all become a cohesive group of friends. I can't wait to see what happens in #Selfie because I just know I'm going to love B and his shenanigans!
If you enjoyed the first two books in this series, there's no way you can't enjoy this one. It's classic New Adult with just the right amount of romance and action to keep you from wanting to put the book down. Lovers of Jennifer Armentrout, Sophie Jordan and Megan Erickson will truly enjoy the crew from Alpha U!
