She hasn’t even adjusted to her new braces yet, let alone imagined kissing Seth with them. When a dare pushes her out of her comfort zone, will she and Seth rocket out of the friendzone at last? There’s only one way to find out…
The Cover Contessa's Review:
So I didn't know what I would expect with this. You see, I'm
not much of a contemporary reader. But I do enjoy YA contemporary because it
doesn't have all the sex that is so associated with so many contemporary books
these days.I was hoping it would remind me of my days a sleep away camp and all
the fun I had. SURPRISE! it really did!
I really enjoyed reading this and watching things unfold
between the friends in this book. I felt the camaraderie. It was great to watch
the girls in the bunk, how they had rivalry with another girl bunk (yup,
certainly remember this from camp) and how they all swooned over the boys from
the other cabins. I really enjoyed it. Oh and the nerds/geeks versus popular
kids, I so remember that! LOL! It really brought me back to being a tween/teen
and how much I enjoyed making friendships and hanging out with the camp crowd.
And watching Lauren grow along with the story was really
nice. I felt the tension between her and Seth, how they weren't sure where
their friendship would go. How it was slowly blossoming into something
different. So great and totally true to camp!
Every character in the book was totally relatable. And, for
a novella, they were developed well. It was easy to see all their personalities
and how each character complimented each other.
It's about friendship, and more, it's about first kisses,
it's about summer fun, it's about first love, it's about learning who you are!
I tore through this novella in no time and so will you!
Looking forward to seeing how this leads into Camp Boyfriend!
