Well, here it is, my review of the final episode of the Debt Collector series by Susan Kaye Quinn!
The Cover Contessa's Review:
I LOVED THIS SERIES! I can't wait for the next season!
Overall the entire season gets a 5 from me for sure!
Review to come...when I can wrap my head around it all and
put it into better words...Sue, you are AWESOME!
So you want my opinion about this episode? Best of the
season. Why you ask me, well because MY Lirium (notice I am being possessive
here) gets to be happy. Sure, he's got things that are lingering over his head,
but he gets moments of pure and utter joy and that just made me so completely
happy I pretty much wanted to cry.
If you've not read the rest of this series, don't go off
reading this episode thinking you'll understand. You won't. Go start at the
beginning and read through them in order. Only then will you understand
perfectly how Lirium gets under your skin and into your heart. You will fall in
love with him, even if you think what he does is despicable. He's an amazing
character that grows and changes and becomes a real man.
I'm sad this season is over. Because I really enjoyed it and
it left me wanting more. It left me wanting to see what else this world holds.
The world she has created has so many possibilities, they're almost endless!
Luckily, Quinn intends to write more seasons, so WOO HOO!
Quinn does a masterful job of helping you get to know
Lirium, as well as all her other characters, during this amazing season. And,
while this episode certainly wraps the season up, it still leaves me wanting
more. More Debt Collector, hopefully a bit more of Lirium at some time in the
future.
So, I say to you Ms. Quinn, please keep writing. Keep
putting your wonderful words out there for everyone to see because the world
needs to know just what you can do. And what that is is make amazing stories
that suck people in and engulf them in an amazing storyline!
Not only can you buy each episode individually, but you can also get a bundle. AND, best of all, you can buy the entire season in a paperback! I'm anxiously waiting to have mine in my hands very soon! And signed by Susan, no less! EEP!
Susan Kaye Quinn grew up in California, where she wrote snippets of stories and passed them to her friends during class. Her teachers pretended not to notice and only confiscated her stories a couple times.
Susan left writing behind to pursue a bunch of engineering degrees, but she was drawn back to writing by an irresistible urge to share her stories with her niece, her kids, and all the wonderful friends she’s met along the way.
She doesn’t have to sneak her notes anymore, which is too bad.
Susan writes from the Chicago suburbs with her three boys, two cats, and one husband. Which, it turns out, is exactly as a much as she can handle.
